Role Description The Physical Therapist Assistant – Indirect Supervision role is an on-site position based in Williamsport, PA. In this role, the team member supports licensed physical therapists by implementing treatment plans, assisting with therapeutic exercises, and monitoring patient responses under indirect supervision. Daily activities include providing hands-on patient care, documenting treatments and progress, communicating with the supervising therapist about patient status, and contributing to individualized rehabilitation programs. The role also involves educating patients on exercises, safety, and proper body mechanics, helping to ensure quality patient care in occupational and orthopedic settings. Collaboration with other healthcare and occupational health professionals is essential to support patient recovery and workplace wellness.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation within clinical or occupational health settings.
- Ability to provide compassionate, professional Patient Care and maintain Quality Patient Care standards.
- Experience or coursework in Orthopedics and musculoskeletal conditions relevant to workplace injuries.
- Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program and current or eligible state licensure in Pennsylvania.
- Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work under indirect supervision.
- Knowledge of safety practices and ergonomic principles in occupational health environments is beneficial.
- CPR/BLS certification and familiarity with electronic health records are preferred.
