Position Summary:
Our growing healthcare organization is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Behavioral Health Care Coordinator and therapist. In this dual role, you will be responsible for coordinating client care, managing daily program operations, and providing psychotherapy.
Responsibilities:
Behavioral Health Care Coordination
- Coordinate care for clients receiving behavioral health services, including scheduling sessions and ensuring timely access to services.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and support staff to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Monitor client progress and collaborate with the care team to adjust plans as needed.
- Provide education and resources to clients and their families on behavioral health conditions and available services.
- Ensure documentation is current and complete.
- Make community referrals as appropriate.
Office Management
- Respond to inquiries from potential new clients.
- Verify insurance and eligibility for various forms of payment.
- Conduct tours of the facility for prospective clients.
- Assist with program accreditation.
- Respond to inquiries from insurance companies and referral sources.
- Coordinate with billing and the marketing strategists.
Clinical
- Be available to conduct individual, group, and family sessions if qualifications are met.
- Case management.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
Qualifications:
- Associate or license as a Marriage and Family Therapist, or Clinical Social Worker.
- Experience and knowledge in working with autistic individuals.
- Clear understanding of therapeutic approaches and treatment options.
- Thorough knowledge of healthcare regulations and the insurance benefit verification processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, providers, and support staff.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and common computer programs.
