Key Wiring & Soldering DutiesAssembly: Connecting wires and components (resistors, capacitors, chips) to printed circuit boards (PCBs).Wire Preparation: Stripping insulation, twisting strands, and applying flux/solder to wires (tinning) for neat connections.Soldering: Applying solder to create strong joints using soldering irons, sometimes with torches or ultrasonic tools.· Rework/Repair: Melting and separating old solder to fix misaligned or damaged assemblies or replacing defective components.· Reading Technical Docs: Interpreting blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.· Quality Control: Self-inspecting work for proper connections, following standards (e.g., IPC-A-610). and using proper cleaning/materials.· Tools: Handling soldering irons, wire strippers, jigs, fixtures, and cleaning supplies. Essential Skills & Knowledge· Component Identification: Recognizing parts and interpreting resistor color codes.· Materials: Understanding different solder types (leaded/lead-free), fluxes, and cleaning agents.· Precision: High attention to detail for fine-pitch components and accurate placement.· Standards: Adherence to industry quality standards (e.g., IPC-A-610).Company DescriptionSpectron Glass and Electronics, Inc.—first founded in 1947 as Spectron Glass Laboratories—was originally established as a neon sign manufacturer.
