Position Overview
The Customer Success Specialist serves as a key point of contact for customers, ensuring seamless experience from inquiry to order fulfillment. This role is responsible for managing customer communications, resolving issues, and processing orders and quotes with accuracy and efficiency. Working cross-functionally with sales, operations, and logistics teams, the specialist provides timely updates, supports account growth through upselling opportunities, and helps identify ways to enhance the overall customer experience. This position will work closely with our established sales team and report directly to the Customer Success Manager.

Core Responsibilities
Customer Service & Sales Support:
- Professionally handle inbound sales and service inquiries via phone, email, and CRM.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer communications, including phone, email, and CRM-based requests.
- Provide timely follow-up, order status updates, and proactive communication to ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Resolve customer issues, complaints, and order discrepancies efficiently and professionally.
- Process and manage calibration requests, quotes, and purchase orders accurately.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date customer records and interaction logs within the CRM system.
- Coordinate with internal teams (operations, sales, logistics) to meet customer needs and deadlines.
- Provide timely updates on order status, shipments, and service requests.
- Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate products or solutions.
- Educate customers on products, services, warranty programs, and support options.
- Identify opportunities to improve the overall customer experience and share insights with leadership.
Key Skills
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a persuasive yet customer-focused approach.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with CRM systems, sales automation tools, ERP software, and Microsoft Office.
- Organization: Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Sales Acumen: Basic sales awareness and customer persuasion skills to identify and act on growth opportunities.
- Problem-Solving: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Multitasking: Ability to prioritize effectively and manage competing demands.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2 years of professional experience in customer service, sales support, retail, hospitality, or a similar role.
- Basic familiarity with CRM/ERP systems or office productivity tools is a plus
- A strong willingness to learn, take initiative, and grow within a technical manufacturing environment.
- Interest in or exposure to technical products (e.g., lab equipment, electronics, NDT tools) is helpful but not necessary.
