What are the responsibilities and job description for the Entry Level Compound Management Support Technician position at Spectrix Analytical Services, LLC?
Currently, Spectrix Analytical Services, LLC is searching for candidates for a full time permanent Entry Level Drug Discovery Support Technician to join a Compound Management Sample Logistics team. The hours required to be available to work will be Mon-Fri from 6 am to 2 pm and/or 2 pm to 10 pm but may change as the work site slowly returns to normal operations. The job location is in Groton, CT.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide support for drug discovery assay sample handling services, creation of assay ready plates and near assay ready plates (including inventory check of source samples and consumables), medium throughput screening services, and sample QC support services, per customer SOP’s and/or orders using various liquid handlers, systems, and software for Compound Management.
- Perform receipt / solubilization of new dry and liquid samples using the Xavo production platform and distribute fulfilled plates according to customer protocols.
- Provide liquid handling performance monitoring services and other minor laboratory equipment maintenance per customer SOPs. Specifically, this includes performing quality control testing on specified equipment with accurate result reporting per customer SOP’s.
- Keep accurate data entry of all support/service activities into the Incident Tracking Database.
- Provide operational flexibility by cross-training across all job functions with other team members.
- Carefully follow customer SOP’s, orders, and schedules.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum HS diploma.with an interest in science; Associates Degree or BS in Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, or related field is preferred with 0-3 years’ experience.
- Experience with liquid handling equipment (Hamilton, Biomek, Bravo or Echo) and other laboratory automation technology systems is preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products required.
- Must be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, stay organized, and adhere to specific timelines and deadlines.
- The ability to work well with all team members, have a positive customer service focus, and be reliable are essential for the position.
