Spectrix Analytical Services, LLC is searching for candidates for one long-term, permanent contract position with a large pharmaceutical client in San Diego, CA.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide operational and technical support to integrated robotic platforms and laboratory instrumentation in a high-throughput drug discovery research facility
- Interface between biologists, engineers, and information technology staff in the development and optimization of automated assay workflows
- Program, calibrate, and troubleshoot robotic arms, liquid handlers, plate readers, and other laboratory instrumentation
- Partner with asset management teams, scientific leaders, and external vendors to coordinate remediation plans and ensure appropriate repairs
- Re-establish stalled automation runs, log system/instrument performance and perform quantitative analysis of system quality control data
Job Requirements
- B.S. in biology, engineering or related scientific discipline with at least 1 year of experience in a biological laboratory
- Must be self-motivated, highly detail-oriented and flexible, and possess excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills with a strong customer focus
- Ability to rapidly master new skills in a technology-enabled environment
- Experience in calibration and maintenance of scientific instruments is a plus, but not required
- Experience with Thermo Scientific Momentum automation software is highly desired

Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
