Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Global Procurement Manager. The role involves overseeing procurement strategies, managing supplier performance, negotiating contracts, and driving cost optimization. The candidate will also be responsible for evaluating suppliers, managing procurement processes, and ensuring compliance with company policies. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to improve supply chain efficiency will be a key aspect of the role.
Essential Duties:
- Negotiate favorable terms for all major company purchases ensuring best price, lead-time, payment terms are achieved.
- Lead cross functional efforts with Engineering, Supply Chain and Manufacturing Partners to optimize component sourcing.
- Measure and improve supplier performance via supplier scorecards.
- Evaluate spend, and prioritize sourcing and negotiating efforts to maximize savings opportunities.
- Lead material “End of Life” cross-functional efforts to avoid supply disruption and mitigate cost impact while maintaining product performance integrity.
- Identify, analyze, and solve any supply problems impacting customer deliveries or launch of new products.
- Partner with engineering teams to consolidate supply base, recommend strategic suppliers for new products, and where required, source new suppliers to fill critical technical needs.
- Establish and improve core procurement processes including purchase order placement, schedule of authorizations, standard company purchasing terms.
- As required, perform hands on tactical purchasing activities in terms of quoting, buying, and expediting.
- Coach and develop associates in both U.S. and China to grow their skills, performance, engagement, and their bottom line impact to the business.
- Travel (3-4) trips per year including domestic and international (Asia/Europe)
Education and Experience Required
- Bachelors degree in business, supply chain, or related field, and understanding of basic procurement principles and practices, (PPV, PO, PR, MOQ, MPQ, LT, EAU, etc.)
- Minimum 5 years experience in procurement, with at least 2 years direct supervisory experience.
- Understanding and proficiency using ERP based procurement tools, preferably Oracle, including awareness of Agile
- Strong demonstrated negotiation skills
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook, with extensive experience and capability in Excel. Ability to work on multiple tasks independently with little direct supervision in a fast-paced environment
- Location: Near our Louisville, CO office and able to come to the office a few days each week
