Human Resources Trainer

This position is located at our Administrative Office in Dothan, Alabama.

Work hours are Monday-Thursday 8am-530pm and Friday 8am-12pm

Responsibilities Include:

  • Conducts and supervises training and development programs for new employees throughout the onboarding process
  • Writes material for new training programs; reviews, evaluates and modifies existing and proposed programs; recommends appropriate changes to management
  • Will conduct New Hire Orientation (NEO) weekly or as scheduled
  • Will complete electronic onboarding process through HRIS with new hires
  • Will work with Senior Managers and/or Program Managers through NEO week in order to provide new hires with training schedules upon completion of orientation.
  • Evaluates training effectiveness
  • Will develop, oversee and conduct training for management employees to ensure they are aware of policies and procedures, SpectraCare practices, performance appraisals, and other managerial duties required for the system.
  • May assist with the set up and/or coordination of training courses onsite or at other locations to include but not limited to gathering training materials, creating presentations, offering certificates of completion.
  • Will work with HR Specialist – Credentialing/Relias Learning to ensure new hires are enrolled in accurate trainings for position as required and trainings are completed during NEO to include initial trainings, annual trainings, MAC or MAS trainings, CPR, MCS, etc.
  • Coordinate with and/or assist Community Services Director as needed to obtain certification credits for courses taught and/or offered.
  • Will be required to become certified to teach CPR, MCS, and/or other courses as required by the system.
  • Establishes and manages training schedules for system employees.
  • Will work with the HR Specialist – Credentialing/Relias Learning to ensure training requirements are met to include but not limited to DMH Standards and SpectraCare policies.


Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Education, Social Work, Psychology and Counseling, or other related field.
  • Minimum of One (1) to three (3) years’ prior training, teaching or related clinical experience.
  • Possession of a valid Driver License with good MVR
  • Free from DUI and reckless driving convictions for the previous three (3) years


Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience in mental health, substance abuse, or intellectual disability field preferred
  • Three (3) to Five (5) plus years' experience training, teaching or related clinical experience
