Pay rate: $19-23/hr.
Hours: M-Th 6:00am-3:15pm; F 6:00am-12:00pm
Summary:
Perform rework/repair of SMT and thru-hole electronic components on PCB’s to all applicable industry standards, i.e., J-STD, IPC-A-610, and IPC-7711/7721.
Responsibilities/ Principal Duties:
- Basic understanding of the IPC-A-610 Class 2 standards.
- Basic understanding of the IPC-7711/7721 repair/rework standards.
- Communicate with Cell Lead, Production Manager, and Quality Manager regarding damaged and/or scrapped material.
- Able to perform more difficult soldering processes.
- Able to assist in performing production solder work as needed.
- Identify and read the values, polarity, and orientation of thru-hole components I.E.) Capacitors, Resistors, Transistors, IC’s etc.
- Identify the orientation and polarity of components in reference to the printed circuit board for thru-hole.
- Ability to read assembly drawings and utilize a Bill of Materials to identify customer part numbers for assembly.
- Utilize basic equipment necessary to complete the product’s final assembly, including hot glue, clipping, masking, etc., as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Education: High School Diploma or GED
Experience: Prefer experience with production assembly processes.
Physical/Cognitive Requirements: Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with frequent contact with others. Job requires prolonged sitting, standing and frequent bending, stooping, and stretching. Manual dexterity is crucial in the placement and handling of thru-hole components. Good eyesight is necessary for identifying components and their placement. Occasional light lifting will be required.
Waiver: This position may be filled by an applicant without meeting all qualifications with Ownership Group review and approval.
