What are the responsibilities and job description for the Radiographer position at Spectra Tech, Inc.?
To be considered for certification, a candidate should satisfy the following criteria:
- Candidates for Digital Radioscopy are required to complete a minimum of 40 hours of training and shall have acquired suitable education and practical experience to assure they are capable of performing the prescribed duties.
- NDT Level I and II candidates shall require a minimum of 175 hours of practical work experience.
To be considered for certification, a candidate should satisfy one of the following criteria for the applicable NDT level:
(a) Have graduated from a minimum four-year college or university curriculum with a degree in engineering or science, plus one year's experience in Digital Radioscopy, beyond the requirements of a NDT Level II in an assignment comparable to a NDT Level II or:
(b) Have completed with passing grades at least two years of engineering or science study at a university, college, or technical school, plus two years' experience beyond the NDT Level II requirements in Digital Radioscopy in an assignment comparable to that of a NDT Level II or:
(c) Have four years' experience beyond the NDT Level II requirements in Digital Radioscopy in an assignment comparable to that of a NDT Level II or:
(d) Hold a current ASNT NDT Level III certificate in the relevant method.
NDT Level II LimitedAn NDT Level II limited, henceforth referred to as NDT Level II, individual shall be qualified to:
- Set up and calibrate equipment
- Interpret and evaluate results with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications and procedures that are approved by the Level III
- Be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the methods for which qualified
- Exercise assigned responsibility for on-the-job training and guidance of trainees
- Organize and report the results of NDT tests
Must have the ability to obtain a DOE Q Clearance.
