The Secure Embedded Systems department (5327) is seeking a motivated electronics engineer to support state-of-the-art printed circuit board (PCB) layout for large multi-disciplinary programs critical to national security. The successful candidate will support a team in the design, development, test, and deployment of novel embedded computing solutions. The successful candidate will have a background in, and understanding of, printed circuit board layout, test, and debug.
You will work alongside world-class experts and use your skills in the following areas:
* Layout of custom, state-of-the-art PCBs
* PCB test and debug
* Team with PCB designers, firmware, and software engineers to create embedded computing solutions
Due to the nature of the work, the selected applicant will be required to work onsite.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma with 3 years of experience
* Experience and Understanding with printed circuit board layout
* Ability to obtain a DOE Q clearance
Qualifications Desired
* Certified Interconnect Designer (CID) Certification
* Certified Interconnect Designer Advanced (CID ) Certification
* Certified Printed Circuit Designer (CPCD) certification
* Experience with Siemens layout tools (PADS and/or Expedition)
* Experience with high-layer-count stack-ups (18 copper layers)
* Experience with PCB layout, testing, and debugging for applications involving state-of-the-art FPGAs, highspeed, and large memory
* Experience routing signals with high-speed data-rates (5 gb/s)
* Experience routing modern memory topologies (DDR4/5)"
* Experience with fine design features (3 mil trace & space)
* Active DOE Q clearance
* Ability to work independently and collaborate well in a multidisciplinary team of designers and test engineers.
