Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Shipping and Receiving Manager role based in Stevens Point, WI. The Shipping and Receiving Manager oversees daily shipping and receiving operations, including coordinating inbound and outbound freight, verifying orders, and ensuring accurate documentation. This role manages inventory flow, organizes warehouse space, and maintains proper labeling, packaging, and staging of materials and finished goods. Additional responsibilities include operating material handling equipment as needed, collaborating with production and customer service teams, resolving shipping issues, and continuously improving processes to support timely deliveries.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated supervisory skills, including team leadership, scheduling, and performance management.
- Proficiency in shipping & receiving operations, including order verification, packaging, and coordinating freight.
- Experience with inventory control, stock rotation, and maintaining accurate records in inventory systems.
- Strong communication skills for working with internal teams, vendors, and carriers, and documenting logistics activities.
- Safe and proficient forklift operation and familiarity with other material handling equipment.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety practices, OSHA guidelines, and basic logistics principles.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Basic computer skills, including use of shipping software and spreadsheets.
- Previous experience in printing, manufacturing, or distribution environments is beneficial.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certifications in logistics or warehouse management are a plus.
