This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping customers, working on the computer, managing multiple projects, processing orders, and supporting a fast-paced sales environment. Graphic design experience is a plus but is not required.
Position Overview
The Customer Service & Sales Support Specialist serves as a primary point of contact for customers while assisting with order processing, customer support, sales follow-up, invoicing, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable speaking with customers by phone and email, proficient with computers and business software, and able to manage multiple responsibilities with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service via phone, email, website inquiries, and in-person interactions
- Respond promptly to customer questions, quote requests, and order inquiries
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Enter and maintain customer information in company systems
- Follow up with customers regarding orders, artwork approvals, and project timelines
- Assist customers with order updates, shipping questions, and issue resolution
- Manage customer accounts and maintain strong customer relationships
- Support sales efforts by following up on leads and reaching out to existing customers
- Contact inactive customers to generate new sales opportunities
- Assist with invoicing, billing, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks using QuickBooks
- Coordinate with production staff to ensure orders are completed accurately and on schedule
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently
- Utilize AI tools and modern technology to improve efficiency and customer service
Required Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong customer service experience
- Comfortable speaking with customers on the phone throughout the day
- QuickBooks experience
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with email, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and business software
- Experience processing orders and managing customer information
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work independently and solve problems
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Professional, dependable, and reliable
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the printing, packaging, promotional products, or signage industry
- Inside sales or sales support experience
- Experience handling customer accounts and order management
- Knowledge of invoicing and bookkeeping procedures
- Experience using CRM systems
- Experience with Wix or website management
- Graphic design experience (Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop) is a plus but not required
Attendance & Transportation Requirements
This is a full-time, in-person position located in Bohemia, NY. Remote and hybrid work arrangements are not available.
Candidates must have reliable transportation and maintain dependable attendance. Punctuality and consistency are essential.
