The Residential Program serves individuals in whichever setting is best suited to their needs, living independently, with family members, or in a state-qualified Host Home.Position: HR AssistantStatus: Full time Compensation and Benefits:$60,000-$70,000 per year Health, Vision, Dental and Life Insurance 11 paid holidays and starting PTO of 15 days, additional time accrued with years worked Retirement PlanReferral BonusesLocation: Greenwood Village (80111)Position Overview:The HR Generalist supports the daily operations of the Human Resources department by managing employee benefits administration, maintaining accurate HR records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and state/federal regulations. This role works closely with the HR Director, Recruiter and HR Assistants to provide consistent and timely HR support to all employees.Job Functions:Manage all employee benefits, including enrollments, changes, terminations, open enrollment, and employee support.Administer and track all leave programs, including FMLA and FAMLI,Coordinate workers’ compensation claims, follow-ups, and return-to-work processes.Maintain accurate PTO balances and attendance records; support payroll preparation by ensuring all hours, changes, and adjustments are submitted accurately and on timeProvide backup support to the Recruiter for prescreening candidates, interviews and onboarding when needed (e.g., during high volume, absences, or scheduling conflicts).Serve as a point of contact for employee relations questions and concerns, escalating issues appropriately.Assist with HR reporting, policy updates, and documentation for licensing and accreditation reviews.Support HR leadership with projects, workflow improvements, and initiatives that strengthen staff engagement and retention.Additional administrative duties as assignedQualifications & RequirementsEducationBachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, psychology or related field is requiredCertificationsHuman Resources certification (PHR or SHRM-CP) preferred but not required.Additional Requirements2 years of HR experience, preferably in a generalist or benefits focused roleExcellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.Possess a coachable and positive attitudeStrong writing and reading comprehension skills.Computer- literate with proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively with the HR teamExperience in disability services, healthcare, or a similar field is a plus.Able to pass a Colorado or National Bases Criminal background check and Colorado Adult Protective Services (CAPS) background check.
