Title: Safety Specialist Duration: 1 Month Site location - Burlington, NJ 08016 Shift Schedule – Back Half Nights (BHN) shift — Wednesday through Saturday nights. Key Responsibilities: Ensure warehouse safety through audits, OSHA compliance, training, and incident management. Conduct weekly and monthly safety audits to identify compliance issues, risks, and improvement opportunities Facilitate incident investigations to ensure worker safety and compliance with OSHA regulations Maintain accurate documentation to meet regulatory standards (29 CFR 1910) Enter safety data into internal databases promptly Perform safety observations and ensure adherence to safety protocols Train and support team members, including Area Managers, on safety audits and compliance Support fire prevention, hazardous waste management, or other safety initiatives as needed Drive process improvements to enhance workplace safety Required Qualifications: Minimum 1 year of experience in an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) role OR a Bachelor's degree in a related field In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations, specifically 29 CFR 1910 Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel in a professional setting Ability to maintain confidentiality in matters involving security or personnel Availability to work flexible shifts, including days, nights, and weekends Strong communication skills and a calm demeanor in high-pressure situations Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher in a safety-related field Experience leading teams and conducting job hazard analyses Expertise in Workers' Compensation case management Current first aid certifications Background in healthcare or industrial settings Passion for championing worker safety and OSHA compliance
