Position Title: Research Associate II, Cytology Work Location: Tucson, AZ 85755 Assignment Duration: 24 months Work Arrangement: Onsite Position Summary: Conduct research, development, and manufacturing laboratory experimentation to support client projects. This involves designing, executing, and interpreting experiments and applying technical expertise toward project strategies. Key Responsibilities: • Design and execute experimental protocols with minimal supervision, including making observations and analyzing data. • Prepare and present technical reports, summaries, and quantitative analyses; maintain complete and accurate records. • Troubleshoot problems and institute corrective actions. • Work collaboratively in a team environment by providing creative solutions and input to project planning. • Contribute to process improvement suggestions and assist in identifying patentable inventions. • Train colleagues and monitor work to ensure quality and continuous adherence to the Quality First Time principle. • Exercise judgment in selecting appropriate methods and techniques for complex problems. Qualification & Experience: • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Science. • Experience: 2–4 years of relevant post-college job experience. • Technical Skills: Proficiency in a range of specialized laboratory techniques, capable of searching scientific literature, and skilled with word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software. • Soft Skills: Good communication, meticulous attention to detail, coachable, and a proven ability and desire to learn. • Preferred (Nice to Have): Experience handling cytology specimens and preparing cytology slides using the Hologic T2000 or the BD Totalys.
