About Specter Systems

Specter Systems is a unified control platform for financial processing and underwriting, built to replace fragmented tools and manual workflows. The platform carries every deal from first contact to final decision - combining CRM, automated document intake, AI-assisted risk and fraud screening, intelligent routing, and lender-ready submission. Underwriting passes are completed once and reused across lenders, improving efficiency, accuracy, and margins for brokers and lenders alike.


Built by experienced operators from a national brokerage, Specter is designed for auditability and compliance, and is available in the Zoom App Marketplace and the OpenAI GPT Store. Brokers run their entire book on one system; lenders receive clean, complete, fraud-screened files. We have real traction and strong product signal in market - and we're now investing behind go-to-market and hiring the leader who will own and execute it.


The Role

This is the first GTM hire and a foundational leadership seat reporting directly to the founders. You'll own the full go-to-market function - sales, marketing coordination, and customer success - building the engine that scales our brokerage base and seat expansion through the next phase of growth.

You'll define the go-to-market approach rather than inherit one, staying hands-on with revenue in the early innings while building the team, process, and pipeline needed to scale the function well beyond yourself.


What you'll do

  • Own the GTM number: new-brokerage acquisition, larger team deployments, and seat expansion across the existing base
  • Define ideal customer profiles and target segments, and build scalable processes across the full funnel from lead generation through close and expansion
  • Build the repeatable sales motion from founder-led selling to a structured, metric-driven engine
  • Hire, ramp, and lead the early team - SDRs, AEs, and the customer-success motion that protects retention and drives expansion
  • Run key enterprise opportunities and negotiate complex commercial agreements with brokers, lenders, and strategic partners
  • Stand up the funnel: demos, qualified-opportunity conversion, CAC and payback discipline against our operating model
  • Partner with the founders on pricing, packaging, and segment prioritization
  • Own marketing coordination and channel testing to feed pipeline as we scale
  • Build feedback loops from the field into the product roadmap


Who you are

  • 7 years in B2B sales with meaningful time leading a GTM or sales function, ideally at an early-stage startup
  • You've personally carried and hit quota, and you've built and scaled a team that does the same
  • Strong business development track record: sourcing, negotiating, and closing strategic partnerships and enterprise deals
  • Experience growing existing accounts - renewals, cross-sell, and up-sell - not just new logos
  • Fintech, lending, payments, vertical SaaS, or SMB-focused experience strongly preferred — bonus if you understand brokerages, MCA, or SMB lending
  • Comfortable as a player-coach: you'll sell, then scale
  • Data-driven on CAC, payback, conversion, and forecasting - you run the motion off the numbers
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the credibility to engage senior stakeholders at brokers, lenders, and partners
