Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical certification in refrigeration preferred.
- EPA certification required.
- Strong knowledge of refrigeration principles.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in varying temperatures.
- Flexibility to work outside normal working hours as needed.
- Must have supermarket refrigeration experience.
- Must be able to travel as needed.

Overview
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Supermarket Rack Refrigeration Installer/ Lead Technician to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation of refrigeration systems and related mechanical equipment within supermarket environments. Your expertise will help maintain a comfortable shopping experience for customers while safeguarding the integrity of refrigeration and climate control systems. Responsibilities
- Install and/or service supermarket refrigeration equipment, including walk-in coolers, freezers, display cases in Texas and surrounding states.
- Document work completed including parts used and time spent
- Perform routine installation, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on refrigeration rack equipment to ensure continuous operation.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design documents to diagnose issues accurately.
- Repair and replace mechanical parts such as compressors, fans, valves, piping, and electrical components using appropriate tools including welders and ohmmeters.
- Utilize plumbing skills for pipe fitting, leak detection, and system flushing related to refrigeration.
- Maintain detailed service records of all repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities for compliance and future reference.
- Collaborate with property maintenance teams to coordinate repairs and upgrades while adhering to safety standards.
Skills
- Extensive experience with construction principles related to Supermarket Refrigeration systems installation and repair.
- Proven service technician experience with refrigeration systems, including ammonia refrigeration used in large-scale supermarket environments.
- Strong understanding of schematics, HVAC design principles, and mechanical drawings.
- Mechanical knowledge encompassing plumbing, welding, boiler operation, and equipment repair.
- Field service expertise with Supermarket Refrigeration systems.
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively for electrical troubleshooting.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience driving
vehicles preferred. - Familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems and safety protocols associated with hazardous refrigerants.
