Concrete Saw Operator
Looking for an experienced Saw Operator to sawcut both asphalt and concrete pavements prior to demo crew. Key duties include operating flat or walk behind saws, reading project blueprints, and maintaining job site safety and cleanliness.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
- Cutting Operations - Operate walk-behind saws, hand-held saws, and core drills
- Measure and mark precise cutting lines on pavement based on blueprints or supervisor instructions.
- Safety & Compliance - Follow OSHA rules, set up safety barriers, use water or vacuum dust suppression systems, and wear Proper Protective Gear.
- Equipment Maintenance - Perform routine maintenance on saws, change diamond blades, clear slurry or debris, and report mechanical issues.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Administration: Completes daily reports and time sheets, maintains records of materials and labor.
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience: 1 to 2 years of construction or concrete cutting
- Physical Strength: Ability to stand for long hours, kneel, and lift heavy weights or equipment
- Certifications: Valid driver's license and preferred OSHA 10 hour Safety certification
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift heavy materials and work in varied weather conditions.
- Skills: Good hand-eye coordination, mechanical know-how, and the ability to read technical drawings
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
