Specified Systems, Inc. is one of the region's most prolific erecting distributors of architectural aluminum windows, aluminum storefront and doors, low-rise aluminum curtain wall, and specialty glazing. We are seeking a skilled Door Fabrication Technician to join our manufacturing team.

Duties
- **Hardware Evaluation:** Evaluate various hardware components (locks, handles, hinges, closers, etc.) for compatibility with aluminum commercial door systems.
- **Layout Planning:** Collaborate with engineering and design teams to plan the layout of the fabrication process. Create detailed diagrams and instructions that outline the placement of hardware components.
- **Fabrication Assistance:** Work closely with the fabrication team to assist in the assembly and installation of hardware components onto aluminum doors.
- **Quality Control:** Perform rigorous quality control checks on completed aluminum commercial doors to verify that hardware has been applied accurately and securely. Identify and address any deviations from the fabrication plan and quality standards.
- **Problem Solving:** Troubleshoot any hardware-related issues during the fabrication process.
- **Safety and Compliance:** Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards during the fabrication process.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various types of saws and machinery.
- Familiarity with aluminum fabrication processes and tooling is preferred.
- Experience with quality inspection techniques and tools, including micrometers.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical diagrams and layout plans.
- Proficient in using hand tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy materials as required in the fabrication process.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Candidate must be able to pass a drug test.
