NOTICE: VCM Pharmacy Operations is seeking Pharmacy Technicians located in the surrounding areas of Cullman, AL.
Responsibilities
- Able to work under the direction of a supervisor.
- Experience working Controlled Drugs (Narcotics) room a plus.
- Maintains floor stock, restocking, removal of expired medications.
- Rotate stock of medication areas to assure quality controls.
- Prepack for floor bulk prescribed medications.
- Package fill and ship medications.
- Responsible for pharmacy standards, maintained and adherence policies.
- Team player and collaborate with others to support the goals of the pharmacy.
- Enter new orders for staff pharmacist review.
- Maintain up-to-date, accurate customer information.
- Generate labels for dispensing
- Answer phones and respond to order inquiries.
- Clarify orders as needed.
- Triage incoming faxes.
- Complete any other task assigned by the supervisor.
- Registered AL Pharmacy Technician required.
- Certified AL Pharmacy Technician preferred.
- Previous pharmacy experience preferred.
- Previous data entry experience preferred.
- Must be reliable and execute multiple tasks assigned .
- Good organizational skills and detail oriented.
- Ability to physically perform light lifting.
- Knowledge of brand name and generic medications.
- Ability to work independently, accurately, and efficiently.
- Knowledge of SIG-Codes.
- Quick typing skills.
- Computer literate, knowledge of Frameworks LTC system, PLUS.
- 2:30pm-11:00pm with rotating weekends.
