Print Production Assistant

About the Role
You'll assist with the operation and maintenance of our binding and finishing equipment—perfect binders, saddle stitchers, folders, cutters, laminators, and more. This is hands-on work where you'll help ensure every job is completed accurately, on time, and to specification. We work hard and move fast, and we're a collaborative team that takes pride in quality and serving our customers.
What You'll Do
- Assist with operation of perfect binders, saddle stitchers, coil/comb binders, folders, and guillotines
- Perform die cutting, laminating, and other finishing work
- Operate paper drills, scorers, and perforators as needed
- Verify all jobs meet client specifications and quality standards
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and report issues to the production manager
- Keep detailed production records
- Assist with quality control checks
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Collaborate with the team to meet deadlines and adhere to all safety protocols
What You Bring
- 1-2 years of bindery/finishing production experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Proficient in operating binding and finishing equipment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Good manual dexterity and physical stamina
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of binding materials and processes preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
