We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and sterile environment.
Duties
- Assist specialists during dental procedures (General Treatment, Implant Surgeries, Braces ).
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control protocols.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental software - Open Dental.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care.
- Manage appointment scheduling and assist with front desk duties as needed, including answering phones and greeting patients.
- Monitor and record vital signs when necessary.
- Support various dental specialties including Periodontics, Prosthodontics and Orthodontics as required.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of infection control practices in a dental setting is essential.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and anatomy is preferred.
- Experience with dental software systems such as Open Dental is as plus.
- Previous experience in a dental assistant role or similar position is advantageous.
- Ability to perform basic administrative tasks, including reception duties.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
- Certification in CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred.
