NOW HIRING: QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER Specialty Rice Inc. – Arkansas Specialty Rice Inc. is looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead and maintain our food safety and quality programs at our rice processing facility. Responsibilities - Manage and maintain the facility’s HACCP and SQF programs - Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements - Lead preparation for and participation in SQF, customer, regulatory, and third-party audits - Conduct internal audits and follow up on corrective actions - Develop, maintain, and update food safety and quality documentation - Monitor production processes and ensure products meet established quality standards - Oversee environmental, product, and sanitation testing programs - Investigate quality issues, customer complaints, and non-conformances - Work closely with Production, Sanitation, Maintenance, and Management to resolve quality and food safety concerns - Train employees on food safety, GMPs, HACCP, SQF, and quality procedures - Maintain accurate records and ensure documentation is audit-ready - Promote a strong food safety and quality culture throughout the facility Requirements - Previous experience in Food Manufacturing Quality Assurance - HACCP experience required - SQF experience required - Proven experience preparing for and successfully completing food safety and quality audits - Strong knowledge of GMPs, sanitation, food safety, and preventive controls - Excellent organizational and documentation skills - Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and correct problems - Ability to work independently while effectively communicating with all levels of the organization - Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered What We’re Looking For We need a hands-on leader who understands that quality and food safety are everyone’s responsibility. The ideal candidate will be confident managing programs, holding teams accountable, preparing for audits, and making sure standards are followed every day—not just when an auditor is coming. Experience in rice, grain, milling, or other food-processing operations is a plus.
