Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our team at the Rusty Pelican Miami, a premier waterfront dining destination. Our ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering exceptional food quality and service in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, set-up, and provide quality service in all areas of food production for menu items and specials.
- Maintain organization, cleanliness, and sanitation of work areas and equipment.
- Work with speed and efficiency to ensure proper and timely output of restaurant menu items.
- Keep updated on recipe changes and ensure proper execution of recipe procedures to maintain a high-quality and consistent product.
Requirements:
- Current food safety certification, such as ServSafe and SafeStaff (can obtain upon hire)
- Frequent lifting, moving, and carrying of kitchen ware, cleaning equipment, food boxes, garbage, etc.
- Regular and prolonged standing and walking to prepare food, clean work station, move garbage, etc.
- Occasional ascending/descending stairs across the restaurant to move food items, equipment, etc.
