The Department Supervisor coordinates daily manufacturing activities within the digital print unit. This frontline leadership role bridges the gap between plant management and production workers, driving continuous improvement, safety compliance, and resource efficiency.
- Supervising operations within the department to achieve higher output
- Assisting in the recruitment and onboarding of new hires
- Ensuring compliance with safety and professional standards within a facility
- Organizing, monitoring, and prioritizing tasks to meet production goals
- Evaluating various stations of the production operation to ensure optimum efficiency
- Maintaining communication between employees and the director to ensure procedures and policies are well-understood
- Ensuring the flow of raw materials and other resources
- Knowledge of Web & Sheet Digital Presses
- Excellent organization, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills, and a strong work ethic
- Ability to create and adhere to production processes and schedule
- Ability to complete reports legibly and accurately
- Required Skills & Qualifications
- Leadership: Proven ability to coach, motivate, and hold production staff accountable.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of digital printing, color matching, and layouts.
- Problem-Solving: Quick decision-making skills to resolve operational bottlenecks on the floor.
- Communication: Clear verbal and written skills for cross-departmental collaboration (maintenance, quality assurance, logistics) and reporting to upper management.
- Must be able to work overtime when needed to meet deadlines
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience: 2 to 5 years of relevant digital printing experience, with at least 1–2 years in a frontline or team-lead supervisory role.
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
