Director of Pharmacy - DOP

Director of Pharmacy - Full-Time

Location: Morgantown, WV

Specialty Medical Staffing is currently recruiting for a Director of Pharmacy for a prestigious hospital in the Morgantown, WV area. This is a full-time leadership role within a tight-knit pharmacy team.

 This DOP role is accountable for the clinical oversight, operational performance, staff leadership, and regulatory compliance of the pharmacy department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Directing daily pharmacy operations and medication distribution activities
• Maintaining compliance with federal, state, and accreditation standards
• Overseeing medication safety initiatives and quality improvement efforts
• Supporting onboarding, training, and professional development of pharmacy staff
• Participating in medication therapy oversight and utilization review
• Developing and maintaining clinically focused pharmacy services

Requirements:

• Active West Virginia Pharmacist license
• Minimum 3 years of hospital pharmacy experience 
• Experience ensuring compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, and regulatory standards
