The team at Louisiana Center for Women's Health is growing! We are currently hiring a compassionate and dependable Medical Assistant to join our dedicated team of professionals who are passionate about providing quality care for women in our community.
SUMMARY:
- Assists with patient care, clerical, environmental and organizational tasks.
- Obtains medical history and vital signs
- Administers medication/injections based on the orders of the Provider
- May perform scribe duties by documenting patient encounters in real-time into the EHR as directed by the Provider.
- Ability to rotate through both front and back office
- Front office duties include scheduling, checking in/out patients, insurance verification, collection of copays, answering phones, etc.
- Provides information to patients so they may fully utilize and benefit from the clinic services.
- Conveys a positive image of the clinic.
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
- Must be caring, reliable, and patient-focused
- High school degree or equivalent required.
- At least 1 year of primary care office or urgent care setting preferred.
- At least 1 year of MA experience
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Front office experience preferred but not required
LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Registered or Certified Medical Assistant required
