Duties
- Lead and mentor the clinical team, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.
- Oversee daily clinical operations, including patient scheduling, treatment planning, and coordination with other dental providers.
- Assist with chairside duties, including four-handed dentistry techniques, taking vital signs, performing X-rays, and utilizing 3D imaging.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and medical records in compliance with HIPAA standards.
- Ensure infection control protocols are followed and that aseptic techniques are practiced in all clinical procedures.
- Collaborate with dental receptionists to enhance patient experience and streamline clinic operations.
- Stay updated on advancements in endodontics and participate in continuing education opportunities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a dental clinic setting
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to the field.
- Familiarity with various EMR systems
- Experience with medical imaging techniques and equipment is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform chairside assisting duties effectively while ensuring patient comfort.
- Understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques within a clinical environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented atmosphere.
- Certification in dental assisting is preferred;
- North Carolina Dental Radiology certificate required.
