Description

Are you friendly, organized, and passionate about helping families feel at ease? Children’s Dental Center is looking for a warm, energetic Patient Coordinator to join our growing pediatric dental practice. Help us create a positive experience for kids and parents from the moment they call our office! This role is a critical part of our practice and will work in a dedicated call-center area on the top floor of our office in central Sioux Falls.

Office Hours

• Monday: 7am – 5pm
• Tuesday: 7am – 5pm
• Wednesday: 7am – 1:30pm
• Thursday: 7am – 5pm
• Friday: 7am – 12pm
  
  

Essential Responsibilities

• Answer incoming phone calls and schedule patients for dental treatment.
• Triage and transfer phone calls as necessary.
• Make outgoing phone calls to confirm patient appointments.
• Update necessary documentation in patients’ charts.
• Monitor the shared office email and respond to inquiries.
• Communicate with external dental offices and handle patient referrals to our practice.
• Additional duties as needed such as following up with patients, transferring records, and other necessary tasks related to scheduling.
• Team members are expected to uphold the culture outlined in the SDB Handbook, with a focus on our core values and any additional responsibilities as defined
  
  

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

• Preferred at least 1 year of experience in a dental office setting.
• Must communicate effectively and demonstrate a passion for customer service.
• Must have a positive, upbeat attitude and display a commitment to helping teammates.
• Compassionate and caring attitude toward patients and parents.
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with electronic health records/patient management systems preferred.
• Must arrive on time and adhere to the attendance policy.
