Key Responsibilities/Job Duties:
- Assisting the doctor with orthodontic treatment
- Preparing teeth for bonding and debonding
- Charting patient information accurately
- Preparing and maintaining orthodontic instruments, supplies, and equipment
- Taking photos, X-rays, and impressions
- Educating and instructing patients on oral health and appliance care
- Assisting with the placement and removal of orthodontic appliances
- Motivating patients to take an active role in their treatment
- Managing a fast-paced patient schedule
- Assisting with sterilization procedures
- Supporting efficient clinic flow: turning over chairs, making appointments, seating, and excusing patients with a smile
- Translating for Spanish-speaking patients during appointments, financial consultations, and treatment discussions
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bilingual Spanish/English – REQUIRED
- Orthodontic assisting experience preferred
