Position Overview
The Orthodontic Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the orthodontist during clinical procedures and ensuring a smooth, efficient, and positive patient experience. This position requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and a warm, patient-first approach.

Responsibilities
- Assist the orthodontist during patient treatments, including placing and removing braces, adjusting wires, changing elastics, and other orthodontic procedures
- Prepare patients for treatment by explaining procedures and answering questions to ensure comfort and understanding
- Ensure patients are properly positioned and ready for care
- Maintain efficient clinical flow by preparing instruments and materials in advance
- Take diagnostic X-rays, panoramic images, and/or digital scans as needed
- Adhere strictly to infection control, sterilization, and safety protocols
- Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked clinical areas
- Provide an exceptional patient experience that reflects our commitment to quality and care
Requirements
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of an accredited orthodontic assisting program preferred
- 1–2 years of orthodontic assisting experience preferred
- Knowledge of orthodontic procedures, appliances, and terminology
- Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and team members
- Commitment to HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
- Positive attitude and ability to thrive in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
