SCI, the Leader in Real Estate Executive Search®, has been retained by a vertically integrated seniors housing developer and operator to recruit a Vice President of Property Operations. Our client is well capitalized and builds, owns and operates its own Active Adult communities.
Reporting to the Managing Partner and Management Committee, the VP will lead the company’s full Active Adult portfolio, including three Regional Vice Presidents and all site teams. Succession planning offers a clear path to COO.
What you’ll do
- Lead portfolio operations, set regional goals and hold RVPs accountable for results.
- Recruit, train and mentor regional and property-level teams.
- Drive occupancy, revenue and NOI, and turn around underperforming assets.
- Build annual asset plans and budgets, and manage variance analysis and re-forecasts.
- Partner with Development, Construction and Sales & Marketing on lease-ups and new openings.
- Lead asset management calls with institutional partners.
What you bring
- 10 years in multifamily, including multi-site leadership in conventional multifamily, Independent Living or Active Adult.
- Hands-on field management experience and a proven record in occupancy and NOI.
- Knowledge of seniors housing regulations across multiple states.
- Lease-up and new-opening experience, which is a major plus.
- Proficiency in Yardi, RealPage or a similar system.
- A bachelor’s degree, with business preferred.
