What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Nurse (RN) - Infusion position at Specialty Care Clinics?

We are a growing specialty clinic committed to delivering high-quality patient care in a compassionate, supportive environment. We are seeking an experienced Infusion RN to join our team and provide exceptional infusion services to our patients.
Position Summary:
The Infusion RN will oversee and administer a variety of infusion therapies, monitor patient responses, and ensure safe, accurate, and comfortable treatment experiences. The ideal candidate has strong clinical judgment, excellent patient communication skills, and prior infusion experience, preferably in oncology, rheumatology, neurology, gastroenterology, or other specialty infusions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer IV infusions and injections according to provider orders
- Monitor patients before, during, and after infusion for reactions or complications
- Start and manage IV lines, ports, and peripheral access
- Document treatments accurately in the EHR
- Educate patients on infusion therapies and potential side effects
- Maintain infusion suite supplies, equipment, and medication logs
- Coordinate scheduling and ensure smooth daily clinic flow
- Collaborate with providers, MAs, and administrative staff
Qualifications:
- Active Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Infusion experience required (2 years preferred)
- Experience with biologics or specialty medications strongly preferred
- BLS/ACLS certification preferred
- Strong communication, assessment, and IV skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple patients
Schedule:
- Full-time, Monday–Friday
- No weekends or major holidays
