The Role
We are seeking a Credit Analyst to join our underwriting team with a primary focus on pricing and credit decisioning. This role is ideal for a high-performing recent graduate or an analyst with 2–3 years of relevant experience who is eager to develop deep credit expertise in a fast-paced environment.
You will be responsible for evaluating new merchant applications, assessing risk, pricing deals, and supporting informed credit decisions. You’ll work closely with underwriting leadership, sales, and operations while gaining hands-on exposure to real-time credit outcomes.
This is a high-impact, growth-oriented role with clear performance metrics and long-term upside for top performers.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and underwrite new small-business funding applications in accordance with internal credit and pricing guidelines
- Review merchant documentation including bank statements, processing statements, and supporting financials
- Assess cash flow, business stability, owner profile, and overall creditworthiness
- Price transactions based on risk, structure, and portfolio objectives
- Conduct merchant verification calls to validate business operations and funding needs
- Collaborate with sales and support teams to structure, approve, and close deals
- Escalate complex files and provide thoughtful recommendations to senior underwriters
- Contribute to ongoing analysis of portfolio performance and underwriting trends as the platform scales
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field
- Strong academic performance preferred
- 0–3 years of experience in credit analysis, underwriting, finance, or a related analytical role
- Solid understanding of credit fundamentals, cash-flow analysis, and risk assessment
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
- Self-motivated, disciplined, and comfortable working within a team-oriented culture
