Material Stock Room Attendant – Wire and Cable

Specialty Cable Corporation is a air conditioned, 65,000 square foot manufacturing plant for wire and cable products located in Wallingford, CT. Specialty Cable just celebrated being in manufacturing for 100 Years.

We are a privately held manufacturer specializing in insulated electronic wire and cable products for Military & Aerospace and high performance industrial applications, is seeking a Material Stockroom Attendant.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Receive and store material, keep inventories accurate, neat, labeled and organized
• Distribute requests for production floor
• Record amounts of materials received or distributed accurately
• Issue receipts and returns to warehouse
• Perform Cycle Count inventory
• Develop cross-functional skills
• Operate hand truck, cart, dollies and forklift
• Keep stockroom area clean and orderly

Qualified candidates will have one or more years of previous warehouse experience, must be able to lift 50 lbs, must have Forklift/reach truck experience, be able to read and interpret product specifications and requisitions, good math and organizational skills, and have a basic knowledge of materials management, inventory control and warehousing principles. An understanding of the ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality system. Wire and Cable experience a plus. Competitive salary and benefits.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week

Experience:

• Warehouse: 1 year (Preferred)
• Forklift: 1 year (Preferred)
