We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Sanitation Supervisor for our third shift team. This role is essential in maintaining cleanliness, safety, and hygiene standards across our facility. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, experience in a food manufacturing facility, and a passion for ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily sanitation activities for production areas, equipment and facility grounds.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations, including GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP, and company policies.
- Develop, implement, and monitor sanitation schedules and procedures.
- Lead and supervise a team of sanitation staff, providing guidance and support to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
- Train team members on proper cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and use of cleaning supplies.
- Maintain proper documentation of sanitation activities, inspections, and corrective actions.
- Communicate food safety information to both Sanitation Staff, Quality Assurance and Senior Management.
- Log chemical usage and interact with chemical suppliers.
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and coordinate with management for timely replenishment.
- Conduct regular inspections including ATP surface swab testing to ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance with health standards.
Requirements
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Biology or related field preferred or;
- Equivalent experience in Food Manufacturing Sanitation or 2 – 4 years related experience and/or training
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, and food safety regulations
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
