As Director of Sales and Marketing, you'll lead the company's commercial strategy by connecting market insights, customer relationships, marketing, product launches, and Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) into one integrated commercial growth system.

Position Summary

You'll design, build, and continuously improve the commercial systems that help Specialty Archery discover new opportunities, strengthen industry relationships, launch innovative products, and grow our position as the industry's leading brand.
What You'll Own
You'll own the systems, relationships, and processes that drive Specialty Archery's continued growth, including:
- Build and manage Specialty Archery's commercial growth system, including market opportunity identification, sales, marketing, product launch strategy, Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP), and ongoing commercial process improvement.
- Identify market opportunities and competitive gaps that translate customer insights into recommendations for future products and successful product launches.
- Lead the company's marketing strategy by telling compelling stories that showcase innovation, educate archers, strengthen dealer relationships, and reinforce the Specialty Archery brand.
- Personally engage prospective and existing customers through digital marketing, phone conversations, trade shows, dealer visits, and other relationship-building activities.
- Serve as Specialty Archery's principal industry representative by developing and maintaining trusted relationships with dealers, competitive archers, manufacturers, influencers, and strategic partners.
- Lead Specialty Archery's cross-functional Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) process, ensuring customer demand, product launches, sales forecasts, production planning, and inventory remain aligned.
- Establish measurable performance indicators and use data to continuously improve business performance.
Qualifications
Required
- Five or more years of relevant experience in sales, marketing, business development, customer engagement, or a related commercial role.
- Strong knowledge of the archery industry and demonstrated ability to market technical products through multiple channels.
- Demonstrated success creating repeatable systems that identify opportunities, generate demand, and drive business growth.
- Experience working with Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP), demand forecasting, or business planning processes.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
Preferred
- Experience planning and executing successful product launches.
- Experience using market intelligence and customer insights to influence product development.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across departments to improve business performance.

Reporting & Travel

- This is a full-time, on-site position based in Spencer, Iowa.
- Travel includes up to 10 industry trade shows/events and 25 dealer visits annually.
