What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data and Analytics Product Manager position at specialized?
Data and Analytics Product Manager We’re looking for a Data, Analytics & AI Product Manager to support strategy, roadmap, and delivery of our enterprise data products — built on Snowflake as our cloud data platform and Tableau as our primary analytics and visualization layer — and to lead the productization of AI and machine learning capabilities across the business. You’ll partner with stakeholders across Commercial, Supply Chain, Product, Finance, and Operations to turn raw data into decision-ready insights and intelligent experiences. This role sits at the intersection of business strategy, data engineering, analytics, and applied AI. You’ll define what gets built, why it matters, and how success is measured — and you’ll champion the responsible adoption of AI to accelerate how Specialized runs and grows. What You’ll Do Own the product roadmap for our Snowflake-based data platform, Tableau analytics ecosystem, and AI/ML product portfolio (including GenAI use cases, predictive models, and embedded intelligence). Translate business needs into data and AI products — Tableau dashboards, Snowflake data marts and semantic models, ML-driven forecasts, recommendation engines, and GenAI assistants — by deeply understanding stakeholder workflows and decision points. Lead AI product strategy — identify high-value AI/ML opportunities, define use cases, partner with data science and engineering on model selection, and own the path from prototype to production. Define and prioritize the backlog for data engineering, analytics, and AI/ML teams, balancing strategic initiatives, technical debt, and reactive requests. Partner with data engineering and platform teams on Snowflake architecture decisions — warehouse sizing, cost governance, data sharing, role-based access, and Snowpark / Cortex adoption. Drive Tableau as the standard analytics experience — establish certified content, governed self-service patterns, performance standards, and adoption playbooks. Establish data and AI product standards — naming, documentation, SLAs, certification levels, model monitoring, evaluation criteria, and responsible AI guardrails. Champion data quality, governance, and AI safety in partnership with the data governance function — data contracts, master data alignment, model bias review, and human-in-the-loop design. Collaborate with PLM, ERP, and commercial system owners to ensure data and AI products integrate cleanly with core operational platforms. Drive adoption and measure impact — usage analytics in Tableau and Snowflake, AI model performance, and business outcomes tied to each product. Communicate roadmap, progress, and value to leadership and the broader business. What You’ll Bring Required 5 years of product management experience, with 3 focused on data, analytics, or AI/ML products. Demonstrated experience shipping at least one AI or ML product to production — predictive analytics, NLP, recommendation systems, or GenAI applications. Working knowledge of modern AI/ML concepts: model lifecycle, evaluation, prompt engineering, RAG architectures, and responsible AI principles. Strong working knowledge of modern data stacks — cloud data warehouses, ELT tooling (dbt, Fivetran, or similar), semantic layers, and orchestration. Experience writing requirements that bridge business intent and technical implementation using Jira and Confluence Excellent stakeholder management across executive, functional, and technical audiences. Proven ability to prioritize ruthlessly in a high-demand, multi-stakeholder environment. Preferred Experience with Snowflake Cortex, Snowpark, or native AI/ML features on Snowflake. Familiarity with Tableau Pulse, Tableau AI, or embedded analytics patterns. Experience integrating LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI) into business applications. Background in consumer products, retail, manufacturing, or supply chain domains. Familiarity with master data management, data governance frameworks, and data mesh / data product principles. Background working with PLM, ERP (SAP, Oracle, or similar), or commercial platforms (Salesforce, e-commerce). Agile / Scrum certification or equivalent experience. When quality tires weren't around, we strove to make the best. When people wanted to ride cruisers in the dirt, we made the first production mountain bike. When roadies wanted to go faster, we doubled-down on carbon and built our own wind tunnel. And when we saw kids struggling to focus in school, we began supporting Outride to help promote better health through cycling. Specialized. Made for riders, by riders.
