Do you thrive behind the wheel and notice the details others miss? As a Vehicle Performance Test Operator, you’ll help validate vehicle durability and performance on public roads—capturing precise data and observations for every drive.
Your Shift Options- 1st shift: 4:00 am – 12:30 pm
- 2nd shift: 4:00 pm – 12:30 am
- Saturday/Sunday: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm
Note: Shifts can run 8–10 hours.
Role Objectives- Drive pre‑production and production vehicles on set routes while executing prescribed test procedures for the full shift duration.
- Conduct a comprehensive, full‑vehicle evaluation each time you drive and submit accurate reports and records.
- Surface and document concerns related to powertrain, assembly quality, system function, design intent, and any additional vehicle issues.
- Adhere to all traffic laws; champion safety and security processes at all times.
- Confidently maneuver oversized vehicles and operate in adverse weather conditions.
- 21 years or older; Michigan driver’s license held for 5 years.
- Driving record that meets standards: no points, no major citations, and/or accidents in the last three years; no DUI or DWAI.
- Skilled with maps and mobile devices (iPad/tablet); able to lift 25 lbs minimum.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Available 3–5 days per week (preference for 5).
- Capable of prolonged driving; dependable attendance; follows directions and executes tasks consistently.
- Strong verbal communication and legible, detailed written reporting.
- Willing to complete all required training; collaborative, positive approach.
