Industrial Reliability Technician (Mechanical/Electrical)

• Do you like fixing things the right way before they break?
• Are you comfortable working around heat-intensive equipment and moving machinery?
• Can you read prints and follow safety rules to the letter?

• Keep furnaces, secondary equipment, and facility structures reliable through preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Diagnose issues and perform repairs with supervision when needed.
• Support equipment installs and routine upkeep using basic electrical, mechanical, welding, and pipefitting skills.
• Champion safe work practices, including confined space and lockout/tagout.
• Document work and close out Maintenance Request Forms.

• General maintenance skill set; industrial maintenance familiarity preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and prints.
• Comfort with basic math: whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Common-sense approach to written, verbal, or diagrammed instructions.
• Willingness to complete additional training identified during appraisals.

High school diploma or GED preferred, not required. Approximately 1–3 months of related experience or training, or an equivalent blend of education/experience preferred.

• Hi-lo (forklift) license.
• Confined space permits and/or training.
• Completion of the Client course on confined space and lockout.

No supervisory responsibilities unless specifically assigned by the maintenance department.

• Reach frequently; occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl in confined spaces.
• Lift or move up to 25 lbs occasionally.
• Work frequently near moving parts with exposure to extreme heat and open flames; occasional work at heights; moderate noise.
