Human Resources Generalist Job Summary:
A company in West Michigan is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to provide comprehensive support to the HR department. This position supports recruiting, onboarding, payroll, and benefits, while maintaining compliance and ensuring a positive employee experience. The ideal candidate is organized, approachable, and detail-oriented, with strong communication skills.
Human Resources Generalist Responsibilities:
- Maintain personnel and training files, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Support recruitment efforts including job postings, interview scheduling, and new hire onboarding.
- Assist with payroll, benefits administration, and HR system management (Paycor).
- Coordinate and participate in company events and employee engagement initiatives.
- Provide guidance to employees on company policies and benefits.
- Support safety initiatives and assist with HR-related special projects.
Schedule: Full-time, M-F 8am-5pm
Pay: $65,000-$75,000/ YR., Based on Experience
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2 years of HR experience.
- Knowledge of employment laws (FMLA, ADA, COBRA) and HR best practices.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HR software.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all situations.
