A privately owned automotive parts business in the Greenwood, IN area is seeking a hands-on Controller to lead all accounting operations, modernize financial systems, and support strategic financial decision-making. This role offers full ownership of the accounting function within a stable, growing small business.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all daily, weekly, and monthly accounting functions, including:
- Full-cycle accounting: entries, reconciliations, reporting
- Daily bank reconciliations and cash management
- ACH processing, check cutting, and vendor communication
- Credit card reconciliation and discrepancy resolution
- Sales tax reporting and compliance
- Year-end reconciliation and coordination with CPA
- Cash flow statements, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Weekly payroll for 15–20 employees
- Support purchasing/receiving with financial oversight
- Assist leadership with budgeting and long-term planning
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $80,000–$85,000

Qualifications
- Experience as a Controller, Accounting Manager, Senior Bookkeeper, or similar role
- Strong reconciliation, cash flow, and financial reporting skills
- Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software
- Ability to lead a system upgrade or software transition
- Small-business, dealership, or multi-location experience is a plus
- Real estate or rental property accounting experience is helpful but not required
