Lead All People Operations for a Growing Manufacturing Plant
We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and relationship-driven Plant HR Generalist to serve as the primary HR point of contact for our Orion, MI manufacturing facility. This role functions as the on-site HR lead, supporting employees, partnering with plant leadership, and collaborating closely with our corporate HR team to ensure smooth, compliant, and people-focused operations.

You’ll manage your own schedule, juggle multiple priorities, and become the “go-to” trusted resource for all things people-related at the plant.
What You’ll Do
Serve as the on-site HR lead, overseeing the full range of plant-level HR functions, including:
- Employee relations support, coaching, and guidance for hourly and salaried employees
- New-hire onboarding, orientation, and workforce integration
- Talent acquisition partnership (local recruiting activities close alignment with corporate TA)
- Employee engagement and culture-building initiatives
- HR policy interpretation and application
- Leave of absence administration and benefits coordination (in partnership with corporate HR)
- Accurate and timely HR records, reporting, and compliance documentation
- Performance management support and coaching for plant leaders
- Support safety programs, training, and incident documentation
- Partner with corporate HR on programs, data requests, and people initiatives
- Serve as the communication bridge between hourly staff, plant leadership, and corporate HR

What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
- 5 years of HR experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment
- Strong working knowledge of HR best practices and employment law
- Excellent time management, prioritization, and documentation skills
- High emotional intelligence and a commitment to building a positive workplace culture
- Ability to partner effectively with multiple stakeholders across the plant and corporate offices

Salary : $90,000 - $105,000
