The Specialized Recruiting Group is working with a company to find their next Outside Sales / Business Development person covering Eastern North Carolina. This is a direct hire role.
Outside Sales Representative
Hybrid/Remote (Raleigh, NC) - 1-2 days per month in the office
Job Duties:
- Build and expand a sales territory through proactive prospecting, relationship development, and consultative selling, consistently identifying new opportunities and driving profitable revenue growth.
- Develop long-term partnerships with B2B customers, becoming a trusted advisor by delivering tailored packaging and automation solutions that address their operational challenges and reduce costs.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and automation specialists to design and implement custom solutions, ensuring high customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Manage the full sales cycle end-to-end — from lead generation and needs assessment to proposal delivery, negotiation, and closing — while operating independently in a remote environment.
- Stay current on industry trends and market dynamics to serve as a knowledgeable resource, helping clients optimize their packaging processes and stay competitive.
- Achieve revenue targets through a hunter-focused approach, leveraging strong communication, resilience, and relationship-building skills in a performance-driven setting.
Experience needed:
- 2-5 years of outside business to business (B2B) sales experience preferred
- Hunter mentality — competitive, self-motivated, resilient, and results-driven
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Willingness to learn and grow
- Packaging or industrial sales experience is a plus
