What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Inspector position at Specialized Recruiting Group - Phoenix, AZ?
We’re partnering with a local manufacturer seeking an experienced Quality Inspector II / III. This role is a strong fit for someone who enjoys precision inspection, CMM programming, and working closely with production and engineering to solve quality issues.
What you’ll do
- Perform receiving, first article, in-process, and final inspections.
- Program and operate CMMs to verify complex parts.
- Read engineering drawings and apply GD&T and tolerance requirements.
- Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, thread gauges, and other measurement tools.
- Document inspection results and nonconformances, and support corrective actions.
- Help maintain calibration records and quality documentation.
What we’re looking for
- 3–5 years of mechanical inspection experience in a precision machining or molding environment.
- Strong blueprint reading and GD&T skills, including tolerance interpretation.
- Hands-on experience operating and programming Zeiss CMMs.
- Familiarity with AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
CMM Manager experience and ASQ or Six Sigma certifications are a plus.
