Role Overview
Specialized Recruiting Group is seeking a Glass Estimator who can truly “run the show” on commercial projects. This hands-on role requires someone with 2 years of glass estimating experience who can take full ownership of the estimating process, manage crews, order materials, and oversee projects from start to finish.
No travel is required. Sales calls and project visits are within a 40–50 mile radius of Wichita, and a company vehicle is provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed estimates, bids, and proposals for commercial glass and mirror projects
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and logistics to ensure timely and profitable completion
- Lead and supervise a project crew, providing hands-on support as needed
- Order materials and coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors
- Communicate with clients to clarify project scope, expectations, and progress
- Ensure compliance with company standards, safety regulations, and client specifications
- Utilize estimating and project management software to track and report project progress
Qualifications
- 2 years of glass estimating experience (commercial projects preferred)
- Experience running crews and managing projects from start to finish
- Hands-on approach with strong knowledge of project management, budgeting, and cost control
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with GDS Estimating software and Procore preferred
- Ability to work on-site in Wichita, KS, with occasional travel within 40–50 miles
