Cable Technician

Specialized Manufacturing has been in operation since 1996. Since then, we’ve grown to fill a 33,000 square foot facility with 65 employees. We build and manufacture custom cable/wire harnesses, cnc metal machined parts, and electro-mechanical assemblies. We typically work in the aerospace industry. In 70% of what we do is in the aerospace industry. While the remaining 30% is split up between the agricultural, medical, and automotive industries

Overview:

FULL-TIME: Monday - Thursday 7:00am to 4:30pm & Friday 7:00am to 11:00am

• We are seeking an ambitious and high-performing Cable Technician to become an integral part of our cable division! You will play a key role in manufacturing, assembling, and maintaining custom cable and harness systems for a variety of industries. Our ideal candidate is responsible and dependable, able to multitask and complete tasks in a timely manner, hard-working, and willing to learn new tasks and processes. No previous experience needed - on the job training provided.

Responsibilities:

Cable and Harness Assembly:

• Assemble custom cable assemblies and wiring harnesses based on blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Cut, strip, and crimp cables to specifications.
• Solder and terminate wires to connectors, ensuring proper connections and high-quality work.
• Testing and Inspection
• Troubleshooting and Repair
• Documentation and Reporting

Collaboration and Support:

• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other technicians to meet project goals.
• Assist in the training of junior technicians as required.

Qualifications:

• Excellent problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Specialized Manufacturing is an ITAR compliant-controlled facility, meaning that you should agree with a background check.

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
