Specialized Engineering Inc. a 100% Employee-Owned Firm (ESOP) is seeking the ideal candidate for a Professional Engineer at our operation in Hanover, Maryland:

Industry Experience: Candidate shall have engineering management and technical experience in the field of Construction Materials Testing (CMT) and Inspection Services. Candidate will be familiar with Special Inspections and Specification and Reporting requirements for the local jurisdictions.
Business Development: Establish and maintain professional relationships with local client base with particular emphasis on Architects, Civil Engineers, Commercial & Residential Developers, General Contractors, Health Care & Educational Institutions; Participate in networking events, trade shows and local community organizations; Gather competitor information and market intelligence.
Client Management: Enhance our client satisfaction by providing superior, professional services and maintaining continuous communications to build long-term relationships.
Operations Management: Influence day-to-day branch operations including supervision of project management staff, schedule dispatch, laboratory operations, administrative and support staff.
Quality Control: Oversee the technical excellence of CMT services for the Hanover Branch but participate in overall material and inspection services for the Company.
Requirements
- Professional Engineering License for Virginia, District of Columbia and Maryland (DE & WV nice to have).
- Solid Industry specific Engineering skills to interface with Staff, Management, Clients and Local Jurisdictions.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Field and Hands-on Project Experience
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in the Construction Inspection and Testing Industry with an emphasis on engineering and/or quality control.
