What you would do

Typical responsibilities could include:

• Managing on-site safety compliance and incident prevention across active construction sequences
• Coordinating safety inductions, toolbox talks and ongoing safety communication with site teams
• Conducting site inspections, identifying hazards and implementing corrective actions
• Developing and maintaining site safety plans aligned with project schedules and regulatory requirements
• Managing safety documentation, records and reporting to regulatory bodies and project stakeholders
• Supporting incident investigation and near-miss analysis to drive continuous improvement
• Collaborating with project management and operations to integrate safety into construction delivery
• Mentoring site teams on safety best practice and regulatory compliance

What you could bring

Most roles of this type require the following:

• 5-10 years' site safety management experience, ideally within construction or related site-based environments
• SMSTS (Site Management of Safety and Health in Construction) certification or equivalent safety qualification
• Valid First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Background in occupational safety, engineering or related field of study
• Strong working knowledge of health and safety regulations, OSHA standards and construction compliance
• Demonstrated experience managing safety on active construction sites
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management across multi-disciplinary teams
• Ability to analyze safety data, identify trends and recommend preventive actions
• Authorization to work in the United States
